Oh my. Don’t you just love those brilliant blue butterflies? They really sparkle and shine.
There is so much going on in this card but it still feels very clean and simple – like me. I love those glitter hearts in the background, the way the butterflies just seem to be floating off the card and all that glitter and shine from the foil, glitter paste and dew drops.
I’m using some brand new Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts from Unity Stamp Company. They really are brilliant and easy to use. Just decorate or don’t decorate and then foil with a heat laminator. Easy peasy and so fun to play with.
There are lots of steps to this card. It is technique heavy. Sometimes I do that even though I’m a Clean and Simple gal. Haha. Check out the video above for all the details on how to foil with toner card fronts, color glitter paste with Distress Inks and then stencil with that glitter paste to create this fun 3-dimensional card.
But wait, there’s more.
Let’s use the Butterfly Fly Away Unity Stamp Company toner card front in a different way. They are perfect for easy cards. This time, I’m playing with blending on some ink color and foiling. I love that these toner images are printed on cardstock. You can do so much with them to make your cards sparkle and shine.

Lots of layers upon layer of color, shine and dimension going on in this card.
I started out by building up the color with Distress Inks for the background. The colors I wanted to focus on that were similar to a monarch butterfly and then to create a contrast in the background by adding a hint of blue/green. That just helps those foiled butterflies pop against the background.
Check out the video for the step-by-step low down. I’ll walk you through my process. It is super easy, just takes a bit of time and the proper layering of supplies.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s projects. If you create something, I’d love to see it. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.
