Hello Unies,
Today I wanted to show you how to use your bigger stamps on your cards. It’s pretty easy actually, I hope you give it a try. You still have plenty of time to add your card to the challenge album. (you’ll find that info below)
CARD 1
Using large stamps on tags is actually really easy and fun. Unity has so many large amazing stamps. I find myself reaching for the larger stamps over and over. For this look find a stamp that the length fits your tag, can be slightly larger or smaller. Line it up so that about 3/4 of your image are on your tag. For this card you’re going to do some simple copic coloring on the image, splash some gold water color onto the tag to pull that gold into it. Add a few strips of washi, add your sentiment and mount the whole thing on black cardstock. This image is called HANGING BOTANICALS. I hope you add it to your wish list.
This second card has a much lighter feel even though I used the same background paper, using a lighter background with a simple design keeps your focus on the tag. Keep that in mind when choosing your paper.
CARD 2
For this card I used another Gracilellie stamp this one is called I SHALL NOT WANT. Stamp your image on water color paper with Versafine clair ink. Go ahead and outline the flower in water color (I used Zig watercolor markers) outline everywhere she added lines as well (see photo below). After that, take your water brush and wash over all the lines. Honestly, it’s easy and this will give you some highlights, add more water if needed but try just a tiny bit at first. For the blue outline go ahead and use a touch more water it thins the color and you wont get any harsh lines. To pull the silver into this card, add liquid PIXIE DUST to the center and splash some onto your tag. This pulls that silver into the tag. Add your sentiment and you’re done!
I hope you all get out some of those larger stamps and try this out. It’s super fun!
This challenge will go until the end of April. Be sure to enter your card in the challenge album on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page. Thank you all for the participation, I have been so inspired by your creations.
Have a creative day, Stay Safe Stay healthy,
