Hello, Unies. Today I have three cards to share. These are all cards you can recreate fairly quickly. Lets get to it shall we.
Card #1
This first card is so cute, To create this card your gonna build a tiny scene on the tag. People often think scenes need to be a whole card but you can do small little ones with big impact. For the tag, I used the ADORABLE Itty Bitty stamp SPRINGTIME OWL, by Lisa Arana. This little owl is so darn cute. For the tag use distress oxide ink, add die cut grass in a light green pattern paper, add clouds and you have a cute little scene. For this card the background paper can be patterned but choose something neutral to not take away from your tag. I added bright colored pattern paper stripes, added the sentiment and some sequins.
Card #2
Using copics on kraft creates a really different look, for this your going to color like normal but, remember that your ink will show up darker on the kraft, so choose lighter colors. For this card I used matching ribbon instead of paper, and attached with staples. As mentioned above when choosing a background paper pick something neutral, so that it does not compete with the image, on this one, I went ahead and used distress ink to add some color to it. Image is from Fresh start by Graciellie. adding matte enamel dots to this keeps the masculine tone. I did add a splash of white to bring out the white on the colored image, and added a little sparkle to the center of the flowers.
Card #3
I wanted to do a card that would be suitable for a boy, also for this card we are going to use one sheet of double sided paper for the stripes. Just in case your having trouble matching your pattern paper. Again, use a neutral paper for your background, this will keep the eye from searching for the focal point. This paper has lots of texture but since it’s a neutral color it does not take away from the image. Go ahead and color the image to match the paper, helpful hint get your self a chart with your Copic colors this will help you match easily. After that cut your stripes, flipping over two of them to reveal the other side. This will all make it match really easy for you. Add some extra large sequins and your done. Stamps used: Elephant Celebration and Happy snail mail.
Okay, Unies that is wrap for this week I hope that these cards will encourage you to get some things out and play.
This challenge will go until the end of April. Be sure to enter your card in the challenge album on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page. Thank you all for the participation, I have been so inspired by your creations.
Stay safe,
Dawn Bryson
