Hello Unies, you all have blown me away with your renditions of the sketch. I have no idea how winners will be chosen, they are all amazing. You all inspire me so much. Please keep them coming.
When creating with this sketch, I tend to go right to pattern paper, but there is so much more you can use, in these next three cards, I used Ink, Washi and a combo of the two.
CARD #1
You can recreate this card quickly with some washi, background paper and of course Unity stamps. The Itty bitty collection is great with these tags, but as you’ll see in my second card it’s super easy to use larger stamps too. For this, take background paper and add your washi to it, Go ahead and stamp your image on the tag and ink the edges. add some wooden hearts and your done. So, super easy. Washi makes this come together fast. No cutting or measuring. Stamp used was Direction of your heart!
CARD #2
This next card were going to use one of Unity’s best sellers. This is such a gorgeous stamp, it is one of those Unity staples, it’s called You are forever beautiful. Stamp your image with Versa fine clair ink. This is a great ink to have and it works beautifully with watercolors. Take your distress ink and squish some ink onto your mat, add a little water and color in the roses, take the blue ink and do the same thing and go around the edge. Now for the background, take your wider Purple tape and a stencil. Make lines with your purple tape ink blend your lighter color, throw a stencil on top and add the slightly darker color. This just adds a little Dimension. Ink the edge of your base, put it all together, add sequins and your sentiment and voila! Your done.
CARD #3
For this card, your going to get a little more messy. We are using a combo of washi tape and Ink. But, this time were adding a little water to the Oxide ink to get it moving. Less water is more in this case, and go ahead and heat set that a little before taking the purple tape off, add as many stripes as you would like and when done add the washi in between. For the tag, I used So dang sorry, and stamped that with versafine clair ink, ontop of that I used sparkly rainbow embossing powder. Go ahead and add your mustard seed ink, whats left just add a little to your base, I did this to bring the yellow into the background. Put your sentiment on and some enamel dots and your done.
This challenge will go until the end of April. Be sure to enter your card in the challenge album on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page. Thank you all for the participation, I have been so inspired by your creations.
Have a creative day, Stay Safe Stay healthy,
