Lisa Arana here, so excited to be sharing some inspiration this Saturday. I’m absolutely loving the new Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit – Trust It Will Be Okay. It is so easy to make cards with this beautiful image and amazing sentiments to choose from. I have two more ideas to share with you today. They are quite easy, quite simple and full of inspiration for your next card ideas.

I tend to reach for my Distress Inks to watercolor with the most. I love how vibrant they are and they really do work on almost any medium.
I’m using regular cardstock today – Neenah Solar White 80 lb to be exact. It has a more muted effect. The color doesn’t move as much as watercolor paper but it totally works. I just wanted to show you it can be done. You don’t have to have a watercolor paper to get that watercolor look. Sure, it may not be as vibrant or as beautifully blended as it would look on watercolor paper. But it is stunning. I love it and you can do it too.
I choose to use cardstock because it is very stark white. I love that. I’m loving the white on white look lately with a pop of color. So just a hint of watercolor, a bit of shine from the metallic die-cut ‘thanks’ and the matching sequins bring this card all together in the most beautiful way.

I’ve created a quick video tutorial on how this card was made. We’ll watercolor and then I’ll show you how I popped that fun metallic sentiment up using foam on the card as well.
I still have more to share. I couldn’t stop at just card today. I love how easy it is to make multiple cards with this kit. Let’ take a look at another idea for this stamp kit.
Card #2
The Details
Don’t you just love those die-cut frames? This set of dies arrived and I couldn’t wait to put them to use. They really help feature that beautiful butterfly filled heart image perfectly.
I love the cool tones of purple, teal, and grey. It was so easy to stamp those beautiful butterflies on white cardstock and then blend on 3 different Distress Ink colors. Add a few splatters and we’ll call that background done.
Once I had my background done all I had to do is die cut out shapes for the frame and sentiment. Seriously. I love that pop of silver from the sentiment and the hint of shine from the sequins in the background as well. It all just goes together so well.

I’ve created a quick video tutorial on how this card was made. I’m blending on ink, die-cutting out shapes and adding the perfect shiny accents. I hope you’ll join me in the video below.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s project. If you create something, I’d love to see it. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.
