Hi there! Crystal Thompson with an EASY project using our well-loved Unity Stamp Company Heart Confetti Stencil and the sentiment is from the ever-popular Cake Time. I wanted to make something that was very simple by ink blending 3 colors!
What colors? I used Distress Oxide in Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, & Shaded Violet.
To make my card I began by trimming the card panel 1/4 of an inch smaller than the card base. I wanted to have my rainbow from the stencil match the rainbow on the card base. I began the blending on the top of the card with the Mustard Seed. Blending down to soften the tone. Then with the Picked Raspberry on the center of the card, and blending up to the yellow to create orange. Then blending down again to get the lighter blend.
At the bottom of card using Shaded Lilac and blending up towards the picked raspberry to blend into a nice purple shade. So now that we have the background do the same with the Heart Confetti Stencil .
Now to the Splitting Sentiment, using the Cake Time stamp set. You will need an extra sheet of white cardstock for the bottom part of the sentiment. Before inking up, grab a purple tape and tape up the bottom part of the stamp. Ink up the Birthday Blessings with black ink, then remove tape. Stamp the sentiment on the stenciled cardstock. Then on a separate cardstock stamp the whole sentiment with purple ink, trim with a paper trimmer.
To put the whole card together use foam adhesive on the stencil, then add the bottom part of the sentiment with foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added clear sequins on the corners with liquid adhesive.
That is all I have for you today. This card is truly easy to make and by splitting the sentiment you can coordinate any colors used.
Thank so much for your time,
Crystal Thompson
