Hi there! Welcome back to another color combos with Crystal. Today I have a really easy card with some of the newest Unity Stamp Company called Succulent Borders and a fun free SVG that I designed. And you read that right, FREE! Here is the link, grab it, download it, and put it to work. We will be using this special SVG for the next 3 weeks with different techniques and combining them with some amazing Unity Stamps.
To begin I stamped my Neenah 110 lb cardstock with the Succulent Borders stamps using Copic friendly ink. Then I did a quick coloring using some basic succulent colors. It really took me about 5-10 minutes and left the center of the card uncolored. Then trimmed the edges of the card to make it just a tad bit smaller than the card panel which is in 5.50 x 4.25 out of an olive green cardstock.
Now moving to the HELLO SVG file. I used my Cricut to cut it on white cardstock, the same as the stamped imaged. Now to the dipping cuts, grab two types of Nuvo Drops, transparent green, and solid green. Begin on the top of the die cuts, with the transparent drops. Then grab the solid/pearlescent Nuvo and do the lower part of the letters, bringing the solid Nuvo up to the translucent. Then add more translucent to blend the two sets of drops.
You can do the step above either before or after gluing the Hello on the card. Really it is quite easy to do it how you prefer.
I thought it was quite, quite pretty and it didn’t take away from the gorgeous succulents
