These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. Today I had fun using this kit to create a bright and airy card – not what you would expect with such a fall theme kit, right?

While I have often seen strips of cardstock layered on a card front, I thought it would be fun to do something different and add some texture to each strip with a distressing tool. The edge of scissors works fine as well – and doesn’t it add something fun to this card?
Heat embossing the sunflower in white on vellum gives it a totally unique and dreamy effect – not at all what you would typically expect!
While it still has the feel of lots of dimension, it is nice and flat and easy to mail – bonus!
