Hi there, welcome back to a brand new August Color Combos with Crystal! Today, we are doing a stencil watercolor and a brand new release from Unity called Beautiful like that.
For today’s color combination we are following along the golden colors of the sunflower image. To begin we are going to be using BEAUTIFUL LIKE THAT, stamped and colored with Copics, then fuzzy cut close to the edge. You’re going to need some pearlescent watercolors, I am using the Starry watercolor palette. For the stencil we are using the a herringbone looking one from my stash.
Let’s get started:
- Secure the stencil to the black cardstock using washi or purple tape
- Create a paste of watercolor using water and a brush. Don’t add too much water.
- Dab on watercolor to the black cardstock. Dabbing will prevent run off into the stencil.
- Remove stencil and let dry
- Add foam adhesive to the back for the stamped image from BEAUTIFUL LIKE THAT and place on the center of the black cardstock.
- Stamp sentiment with black ink, and die cut with your favorite shape.
- Add sentiment strip to card with foam adhesive.
- Enjoy!
