Hi there! Welcome to a Tuesday edition of Color Combos with Crystal! Today we are stepping into a bit of fall crafting with a lovely autumn-inspired color combination of kraft cardstock and sunflowers.
Today’s project features the amazing stamp set called Shimmer and Shine from Unity Stamp Co!
To make this card you will need the following items:
- Kraft Card Base 4.25 in x 5.50 inc
- Light Brown Ink
- Shimmer and Shine Stamp set from Unity
- Copic colors in 3 levels of intensity for green, brown and yellow.
- Black Heat Embossing Powder + Ink
- An embellishment of choice. I am using faux diamonds
To begin, we are going to trim up the cardstock to 4.25 x 5.50 inches. Then using all the heat embossing accouterments, we are going to stamp the sentiment from Shimmer and Shine. Stamping this on the center of the card base with the embossing ink and covering it up with Fine Black Embossing Powder. Using your heat gun, heat-set, and let cool for a few seconds. (Tip use cornstarch with a brush before heat embossing to prevent the powder from sticking to the cardstock)
Stamp the two sunflowers from the Shimmer and Shine with the Light Brown Ink. The sunflower with the leaf will be stamped on the corners facing down to the sentiment. Then the large sunflower will be stamped on the bottom center of the cards. Grab your sunflower with leaf image and stamp the leaves on either side of the center sunflower for a bit of greenery.
Moving on to the Copic Colors, I am using 3 variations of green, brown, and yellow. Start with the light markers, coloring the entire image, then shadow with the darkest, and use the medium to blend the two. Repeat this process with the individual components of each flower. The coloring will make it look like No Line coloring, yet it was super easy.
Now we are going to embellish this with faux diamonds.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed it.
Cheers!
Crystal
