Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Today I have a bright colorful holiday card to share with some double layer embossing and distress ink blending, finished off with some jewels for sparkle!
Here is this week’s video sharing how this card came together:
I started off stamping the ornaments in embossing ink on a panel of white cardstock, then stamping the sentiment in black pigment ink (which also works for embossing!) before sprinkling clear embossing powder over all and setting with a heat gun.
Then I moved on to ink blending over the top of the panel using Worn Lipstick, Lucky Clover, Picked Raspberry, and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks. I also added coordinating splatter with the same colors by smooshing a bit on a clear block and picking up with a wet paint brush to splatter over.
Mounted that panel with foam on a white cardbase, then added some coordinating jewels for the final bit of sparkle!
