Distress Ink and Colored Pencil Wagon

October 19, 2020 - by Houses Built of Cards

Distress Ink and Colored Pencil Wagon

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.

Today I’m sharing this sweet little wagon, colored with Distress Inks and some colored pencil for detail!

Here is this week’s video sharing how this card came together:

A stamping tool is super helpful for this card – it allowed perfect placement of the stamp while stamping the different colors, as well as after blending out with water and a paintbrush.

While this card would be fun to stamp in simple black and color with your favorite coloring medium, stamping it with the ink you want to color with gives it a fun realistic feel. You could also use water based markers to color on the image before stamping.

A simple twine bow is the perfect finishing dimensional embellishment, and so easy to create! Simply wrap the twine around your fingers a few times to create a loop, then tie another piece of string around the loop and tighten into a bow. Trim the ends and adhere it in place!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
