Hello Dear Friends…
It’s been a minute since I’ve shared an Assemble This Sketch. You all know I love sketches. I’ll try to include these more as the months go on. My brain has been super scattered so I tend to forget. I hope you are inspired by this layout. It is a favorite of mine. Let me know if you love the sketches too.
Featured Stamp Sets
I’m super excited about the November 2020 Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit. Coffee and hot cocoa are two of my very favorite things. I just love this new mug with the whipped topping and couldn’t wait to get creating with it. I have lots of inspiration to share with you today.
The Video
I’ve created a quick video tutorial on how this card was made.
Card #1
The Details
Oh, the patterned paper in this card makes my heart go pitter-patter. I love them layered upon each other. I used the sketch to create the base of my card and then switched out the heart for this yummy whipped topping mug. It could be cocoa, it could be coffee, it could be anything your heart desires.
I did a bit of Copic coloring using G21, BG34, R24, E31, and O. Stamped a fun holly jolly sentiment in the center and then popped it up with some foam adhesive. I love the whimsy and bit of color the navy enamel dots create in the end to finish it all off.
Card #2
The Details
Here is a different take on the same sketch and the same stamp set. This time I used a sentiment in the kit for a birthday card. I love all the happy colors. The rainbows, flowers, and pretty colors. I used N1, R83, R85, B21, B23, and G21 Copic markers to color up this beauty.
It was fun to color in the whole mug this time and the sentiment layered beautifully against the colored background.
Card #3
The Details
I have a completely different layout for this card. I’m loving that scallop curve layered over the different patterned papers. I colored in the mug with Copics to look like coffee or cocoa this time using N1, R83, R85, BG01, E31, E35, E37, and 0.
It is a fun and different holiday card or could easily be a “just because” card to wish someone a Merry Day.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s projects. If you create something, I’d love to see it. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.
