It’s Week 3 for Unity’s Holiday Card Challenge! There are so many wonderful entries already! Keep it up!
For this week’s inspiration, I paired Unity’s Simply Lovely Birdie, with Simple Stories Simple Vintage Christmas paper, Polka Dot Orchard’s Dolly Doily stencil, and Simon Says Stamp’s word die cuts. I stamped the bird with InkOn 3’s No Line Fadeout ink on watercolor paper. I used a 12 set of Caran D’ache Museum Aquarelle watercolor pencils to color the image. I added a little pen work to the image and a little of my Schmincke watercolors. I fussy cut the image.
I used the doily stencil to create a background focus. I used brushes to blend matching inks onto the stencil and fussy cut the paper. I used the die cuts on paper from the pad and distressed the edges of all components of the card. To complete the card, I added some fussy cut pine cones, string and enamel crystals.
