Today on my installment of Color Combos with Crystal I have a fun tutorial using those leftover tags from Christmas gifts for a last-minute Christmas card. The color combination is inspired by the awesome paper pack from Whit’s Kit called Winter Wishes.
I am inspired by using Christmas tags on cards to create last-minute Christmas cards that are super easy to create. So for this project, we will be using the following:
- Catching the Snow Stamp Set
- Serenity is Peace Stamp Set
- Winter Wishes Paper Pack
- Tag Dies
- Adhesive foam and roller
- White Embossing powder
- Brown Ink
- Embellishments
To begin the card, I trimmed the pretty music note pattern paper from the Winter Wishes paper pack to 4.25 x 5.50. Then using 3 different pattern papers from the same paper pack, I die-cut the pieces and set them ready to assemble.
Grabbing the middle section of the tag, using the Catching the Snow stamp set, I stamped and head embossed Warm Wishes using white embossing powder. Heat Set and let cool. Once that is nice cooled off, proceed to assemble the tag.
On another piece of Warm Wishes paper. I stamped the “missing you this holiday season” with Chocolate Chip Ink from Stampin’ Up, then I trimmed the little ribbon.
Now the easy part, if you have your tags ready to go, place the tag on the center of the 4.25 x 5.50in on the center of the card panel using foam adhesive. Then add the sentiment strip on the bottom of the tag, slightly overlapping the tag.
To finish up, add some embellishment. I used snowflake sequins and little dots of pearl white Nuvo drops.
