Hi Friends! Welcome to another inspiration post as we near the end of the floral challenge hosted by me – Sandhya of Sanju’s Creations. Today, I am featuring the Falling Into Place stamp set in a butterfly card in the Pantone colors – Yellow and Gray. I designed this stamp for Angela’s birthday as she loves butterfly stamps. For this, I took inspiration from the gorgeous tattoo style of art. I am so thrilled to see it in red rubber and enjoyed coloring it up. So in this last week of the Fresh Start With Florals Challenge over on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook Page I hope to see some more of your gorgeous floral creations! I encourage you to play with your floral stamps, even if you don’t fancy coloring them up in detail.
About My Card
To start with, I stamped the image and sentiment with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink on Fabriano Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper. Then I colored it using Peerless watercolors. I wanted to try playing with the yellow and gray color combo from the Pantone 2021 colors on the floral butterfly. also, I added the transparent shimmer watercolor to my puddles of water as I mixed my watercolors. This gives a gorgeous shimmery finish to my colored image. You can watch my coloring process in the video below or go for the HD version on my YouTube Channel.
Once I was done coloring, I added splatters in yellow, black, and some gold. Then, I die-cut the panel using the loopy edge rectangle die set from Gina Marie Designs. I matted the panel with light yellow cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base.
Thank You
This completes my butterfly card in Pantone colors and also brings us to the end of the Fresh Start with Florals challenge. Stay tuned as we gear up for yet another exciting challenge in February. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
