Good Tidings for a New Year

January 2, 2021 - by Lisa Arana

Good Tidings for a New Year

Christmas Turned New Years’ Card…

Sometimes I’m late. Generally, I’m always a 10 minute early kind of girl. I don’t like to be late. BUT when it comes to sending cards… I’m almost always late. I can’t seem to get it together to be on time in that area. Haha. So, I used this Christmas Card as a New Years’ card. The sentiment from this Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit is perfect for New Year’s wishes too.

The Project

The Details

I like to get messy sometimes. I love how universal Distress inks can be. Lots of fun things you can do with them. They allow me to dabble in the mixed media arena as well.

The background is created with ink smooshing on regular cardstock. Then a bit of blending as well. I also added some white foiling and white splatters too.

Just the perfect sentiment was added that could have been for Christmas but is working for a New Year’s card as well — ahem — since I’m a bit late. Haha.

Lastly, just a few sequins and some twine to finish it all off. Make sure you check out the video for full details on how this card came together.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are inspired by today’s project. If you create something, I’d love to see it. Join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your card and tag me.
