Believe in Hope Cloudy Sky Card

Believe in Hope Cloudy Sky Card

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.

Today’s card features some fun ink blending and stamping for a one layer CAS card with a touch of sparkle.

Here is the video for today’s card:

Using some Post it tape makes it super easy to mask off a portion of the card front to add an ink blended background – I used soft peach and aqua tones to create that background.

Next up, stamping the clouds over the edges of the inked panel adds to the feeling of dimension and movement. I left them stamped in gray, so the sentiment could be stamped directly over the top with black ink.

Next, a simple black outline helps bring the eye into the sentiment, and some sparkle over the top with some clear sparkly Nuvo drops add a touch of shine.

And just because it felt like it needed a little something extra – I stamped that darling heart from the kit at the bottom, using the same ink color that had been blended over that spot. This last photo shows that bit of sparkle just right as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
