Hi there! Crystal here with a fun alternative to the currently popular Valentine combinations with a set of blues, yellow and brown using one of the newest Unity Stamp’s called Smile You Are Loved. This last week Unity released some amazing Love & Friendship stamps perfect for all occasions.
I hope you enjoy this color combination, and let me get you the products you will need to recreate this card.
- Unity Stamp CO: Smile You Are Loved
- White Cardstock
- Copics
- Smile Dies
- Ink Blending brushes
- Masking Tape
- Distress Oxide in Broken Glass, Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean
- Foam Adhesive
- White Nuvo Drops
- Water for Spraying
Ok, now that we have all this established let me tell you how we are going to make this card.
First we will begin by stamping the floral image from the Smile you are loved on to Copic friendly cardstock using a black ink, then coloring with Copics. Once that is done, fuzzy cut, add foam adhesive and set aside.
Next we will prep the cardbase, this white cardstock is cut using a scalloped edge die, then using masking tape, I masked the sides to create a rectangle perfect for ink blending. While the die cutter is out, I also cut the “smile” cut from dark turquoise cardstock and added foam adhesive to the back of that too!
I inked blended 3 gorgeous colors of distress oxides from darkest to lightest. Then splattered water, and white paint on the whole thing. Once that was dried, I removed the masking tape and exposed the white edges.
Now to put the whole card together! I placed the florals on the bottom center of the card, then added the “smile” cuts. Then stamped the “you are loved” and added that to the bottom of the “smile”. I embellished the whole thing with White Nuvo drops.
And guys, that is it! Took me less than 15 minutes to make the card! I of course have the full tutorial for you below.
Thanks so much!
Crystal
