Hi there! Crystal here on a very cheerful Color Combos with Crystal. We are creating a ONE LAYER card. Today’s color combinations were inspired by a spring theme of pinks, yellow and lilacs. Unity has released this beautiful stamp set called Smile You Are Loved.
For this project, we will be using the following products:
- Unity Stamp Co. Smile You Are Loved
- Distress Oxide in Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, & Wilted Violet
- Ink Blenders
- Copics
- Glitter Paste
- Stencil
- Embellishment Gems
To begin, I stamped the image from Smile you are Loved with Copic friendly ink, then colored with Copics. I also stamped the sentiment. The cardstock was trimmed to 4.25 x 5.50 , then began ink blending with Milled Lavender on the 1/3 top part of the background. Moved on to Seedless Preserves and ink blended that to the center of the outer edge from the flowers. To finish up Wilted Violet on the bottom of the card base.
Once that was all done, I grabbed the stencil and the glitter paste. With my finger I spread the glitter paste around the edge the florals.
To embellish I used glitter Nuvo and added violet embellishment gems around the edges of the card.
And guys that does it! A super simple, one layer card that creates dimension with ink blending.
