Hey there! Today I have a unique way of getting more out of solid stamps and making them look different. The technique?! Hand Drawn Outlines on a clean and simple background with an array of pastel color combinations.
For this card I am using the Small Steps Are Progress stamp sets, 3 colors of ink and basic markers. So let’s get started!
Products:
- Small Steps are Progress
- Ink pads in Grass Skirt, Aquatini, Pixie Dust
- Zig Clean Color Marker Black
- Black Ink
- White Card Stock
- Copics in gray and creamy brown
- Embellishment
To start, I have trimmed the white cardstock to half inch to be matted on a white cardstock. I then stamped the center image with green ink and used the Zig Clean Color Marker in black and used brushed strokes to outline the image.
Then I repeated the second stamp in purple and followed the same procedure. While that dries out I stamp the sentiment with black ink. Then I used Copic markers to add a few shadows at the bottom of the plants.
I then moved on to the 3rd succulent and stamped that, and outlined that. I did this on two cardstocks and created two super easy and simple cards. You can outline as thick or thin as you like.
