Hi there! Crystal Thompson here with a card color combination tutorial and video using one the latest Unity Releases called Plant Kindness Background. In this tutorial we are using a color stamped and colored background with a simple overlay of Vellum to soften everything up.
The color combination for this card is an array of soft peaches and green.
First lets gather all the supplies needed for this project:
- White Neenah Cardstock
- Plant Kindness Background Stamp
- Copics
- Vellum
- Watercolors
- Foam Adhesive
Alright! Let’s get started with trimming the cardstock from 5.50in by 4.25 inches. Then trimming another sheet to 5.50 inches x 4 inches. Then stamped the Plant Kindess Background using a Copic friendly ink. Then colored with Copics the plants and flower pots.
Once that is colored set aside and splatter the card base with watercolor using green and gold watercolor. Then add the vellum on top of the plant background using a double layer of foam adhesive.
Cover the foam adhesive with a strip of Neenah cardstock and stamped the sentiment “Hug Me” then trim the right side to look like a paper ribbon.
To top off the whole thing with watercolor splatters.
