Happy Friday! It’s Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules back on the blog sharing another card using the Slimline Layering Tulips stencil and stamp bundle… except, not with a slimline card. Follow below for a step by step brake down of this fun new stencil you’ll NEED in your stash!
For this card I chose to only use the stencil. You can layer the stencil over the stamped image as well. I love all the options!
Step 1: I started with the leaves. Using Peeled Paint Distress Oxide I inked in the leaves. I set the stencil off of the right hand side to leave lots of blank space on the left and make this large image stand out.
Step 2: Using Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink, I did the first layer of the tulip. I chose to use a lighter color of ink so that the next shade would be bold and sit on top. This color is so vibrant. I almost forgot how beautiful yellow can be.
Truth is… you could just stop here if you want to keep it simple. But wait, there’s more!
Step 3: Last layer was using Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink. This layer has a bit more detail and adds more depth to the image. It’s just amazing how fast and easy it is to make these beautiful colorful flowers.
Step 4: This is where it all comes together. I trimmed down the piece, stamped a sentiment and adhered it to the card base with an accent piece of black card stock. And this card is colorful and beautiful.
But wait, there’s MORE!
Remember the large slimline tulip stamp, well, I used that to stamp the envelope. This is a great way to add more of the beauty of crafting on the outside of your card for all to see. How fun is that.
This new crafty bundle is filled with possibilities. Head over to see more ways to use this beautiful stamp set. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you found some inspiration. Until next time…
