Hi there! Crystal Thompson here with the first color combination inspiration for April. My though was no coloring cardmaking with the easiest color combination ever! Black and White.
For this card you will need some very basic supplies.
- Coming Up Roses
- Wayward Florals
- White Cardstock
- Black Cardstock
- White Embossing Powder
- Heat Embossing Ink
- Black Ink
- Sequins
- Thread
- Foam Adhesive
- Clear Adhesive
To begin, I trimmed the white cardstock 4.25 x 5.50 then the black cardstock, 5.50 x 2.5 inches. I set the Wayward Florals background cards on my MISTI and inked the white cardstock with some black ink. Then I set it aside to dry.
Since the background stamp is in place, I grabbed the black cardstock, stamped it with Heat Embossing Ink and closed the lid of the MISTI. Then I covered with White embossing powder, heat set with the heat gun. I then added foam adhesive to back. I then placed this on the white stamped card panel.
With Wayward Florals, I stamped the Happy Birthday with black ink and fuzzy cut around the lettering. Then I added foam adhesive to the back.
With rose thread, I wrapped it around my hand and created a circle. Then attached that to the back of the foam adhesive. I then placed the “happy birthday” over the heat embossed strip.
To finish up, I added sequins of rose gold and iridescent clear.
This card took 5 minutes to make and it was super easy.
Check out the tutorial.
Have a great day!
