Floral Watercolor Card | Time to Let Go

June 22, 2021 - by Sandhya Iyer

Floral Watercolor Card | Time to Let Go

Hello friends! This is Sandhya, and I am back with a floral watercolor card featuring the Time to Let Go stamp set designed by Graciellie Designs. This stamp set has a very pretty girl and a beautiful floral image. I love the sentiments too, especially the one that says – “If it comes, LET IT; If it goes, LET IT”.

Floral Watercolor Card Details

I started by stamping out the florals using Versafine Claire Nocturne ink on Fabriano hor pressed watercolor paper. Next, I watercolored them using Altenew watercolor brush markers. While I couldn’t film a video for this card, I show the same coloring technique using Karin Markers in a previous Youtube video. I will link it here in case you would like to check it out.

For my splatters, I used the leftover colors on my glass mat and then some white gouache. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a black card base. Next, I added some fine stripes-washi tape along the panel’s edge on the black base. I also attached a strip of silver glitter cardstock for added interest.

Finally, I stamped my sentiment on white cardstock and die-cut it using a label die. I popped it up on the card front using foam tape.

Thank You

This completes my card for today. I truly believe in this sentiment and am making it my mantra so that I can focus on what I have and appreciate its value instead of worrying about who/what is leaving my life. Lastly, a reminder that I do have a supply list below if you are interested in checking out the products I used. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!
