Hello friends! This is Sandhya, and today I am sharing a card I made with the Birthday Blooms stamp set designed by yours truly. This stamp also has a coordinating layering stencil that can be used for easy coloring or on its own. Do you like coloring your stamped images or do you prefer ink blending using a stencil?
Birthday Blooms Card Details
For today’s card, I chose to go with coloring instead id using the stencil. I started by stamping out the peonies using Versafine Claire Nocturne ink on Fabriano 90lb hot pressed watercolor paper. This is a beautiful intense black ink for watercoloring. I used Karin markers for coloring my blooms.
I picked a rich brown for the leaves instead of green for the leaves to switch up the palette. The background was done using Salvaged Patina Distress Reinker. For my splatters, I used clear water and some gold ink. I trimmed the panel down to a mini slimline measurement of 6.25″ X 3.25″.
Finally, I stamped my sentiment and added a doodle border using a Sharpie fine liner. I adhered the panel to a card base to complete my card.
