Reverse Die Cut Ink Blended Background

June 7, 2021 - by Houses Built of Cards

Reverse Die Cut Ink Blended Background

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.

For today I’m doing some ink blending, simple Copic coloring, and then a quick die cutting technique to add some interest to that ink blended background!

Here is the video for today’s card:

I love creating ink blended backgrounds like this – so relaxing and satisfying! And splatters – always splatters, don’t you think? Adding the die cut and reversed element adds to the interest just a little bit more.

I used simple pairs of Copic markers to color the image, then fussy cut it out to adhere over the background.

Finished off with the sentiment on a die cut circle, punched a couple tiny holes at the top, and threaded through some jute string to finish off!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
