Happy Thursday Friends!
Today I have a fun watercolor inspiration card for you. I don’t typically watercolor images but wanted to do something other than my usual Copic coloring. So what says summer more than a Mermaid!
There were a few Mermaids to choose from but I decided to go with Salina girl. I stamped her on Canson Watercolor Paper and used Amalgam ink. I water colored her with Distress Ink and only used 6 colors. (Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo and Antique Linen) I cut both panels out with a frame die a popped up with foam tape. The background needed a little something extra so I used a “Mermaid Scale” stencil and ink blended over the panel with the lightest shade of Distress Ink, Shaded Lilac. I added several tiny rhinestones to give it a little bling.
Thank You
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card and feel inspired to create with all those summer stamps. I look forward to seeing your awesome creations!
To play along head on over to the challenge album on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook Page and share your card! Have an amazing day!
