Tree of Love Cards and Tiny Tags

Tree of Love Cards and Tiny Tags

Happy July…

Have you seen the new Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit for July 2021 yet? It has this gorgeous tree image. I’m creating three cards today using this gorgeous stamps set. I pulled out some pretty pattern papers and created three different layouts for this card set. Plus, I used the scraps to create the cutest little tags to decorate your card envelope.

The Cards

I’m starting with a bold floral pattern. I love this paper and the colors. It was the perfect backdrop to start with. I stamped that gorgeous tree on some woodgrain paper in black and then die cut it out for my center panel. To help it pop against the background, I added a bit of the gold triangle pattern. Lastly, just a bit of gold washi tape, burlap string, and sequins finish it all off.
For the second card, I focused on blues. I thought about laying up all those scallop panels, but I turned the patterned paper ones into strips instead. Then, I stacked them at an angle behind the tree panel. The tree was stamped with the sentiment in black on some lined notebook patterned paper. To add a bit more color, I used a gold Wink of Stella pen to “watercolor” on a hint of gold. That fun little jute bow was the perfect embellishment to complete the card.   For the final card in this set, I stamped that gorgeous tree in teal. Found some pretty papers to accent the teal and to create that amazing sentiment banner. A burlap string bow and some pretty jewels completed the bling for this card. I love how all of these cards look together. With just some patterned paper, one stamp set, and some easy stamping, you can create a beautiful card set for yourself or to giveaway.

The Details

They turned out so darn cute. I grabbed the perfect little die-cut for my tag base and combined them with some of the leftover patterned papers and sentiment strips. It was quite easy. I just added a few embellishments with bronze washi tape and some gold die cut hearts. The burlap string just finished the look for each one. The little size is just perfect to glue to the front of a card. Since I used the leftover scraps, it matches my birthday card perfectly. The tag is flat and the only dimension comes from the bow. Because of that, you wouldn’t be able to mail this one to a friend or family member. These decorations should probably be saved for handing the card over in person.
