Hello, Gaylynn here. Using a partial background and Unity dies gives an artsy look to card making. Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing a way to trim off some of the card background stamping plus adding Unity sentiment die-cuts.
This art deco style card with a partial background and Unity dies is easily put together with a bit of coloring, fussy cutting and die-cuts.
Sentiment:
Happy retirement.
May these next years be the best years!
Helpful tips:
Here are helpful tips for making this card using a partial background and Unity dies. To begin, stamp and trim the art deco background in black Copic friendly ink. Next, add a little bit of coloring accent to the background, leaving some white space. Then, using scissors, trim away some of the background in a diagonal style to make the partial background layer. Next, stamp, die-cut and trim the sentiment layers. Finally, assemble the card layers and place the sentiments partially over the background, to finish.
Here is another look.
Here is my video tutorial for this project. It will detail the full process.
