Big Sentiment Fun with The Happiest Wishes

August 7, 2021 - by Lisa Arana

Big Sentiment Fun with The Happiest Wishes

Hello, Big Sentiments…

The new August 2021 Unity Stamp Company sentiment kit – The Happiest Wishes is full of big sentiments. A great mix for lots of occasions. They are perfectly sized to be used on their own or paired with some of your other favorite Unity images. I couldn’t wait to break out that birthday sentiment and create two cards right away.

The Video

Watch along as I assemble this card sharing my process and tips on how this card was created.

The Cards

The Details

For the first card, I stamped Margaret girl. I love her party dress and birthday balloons. I colored her in with Copic markers. I am loving the green, yellow, and grey combo so very much.

Next, I stamped that big birthday sentiment. I love the script and how much it fills up the card. So lovely.

I die cut the panel out and set it aside to work on the background. I used Star Bursts and stamped and embossed in clear on the grey cardstock. Die-cut that out and glue it directly to the front of the card.

I layered the stamped panel on top with some foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added some clear Nuvo Drops and Wink of Stella in clear for some glittery shine.

For the second card. I used the same colors for the vine of flowers stamped from the From This Day Forward stamp set. I love the way the trail down the right side of the card.

Next, I stamped that big sentiment, rounded the corners, and blended on some grey ink around the edges.

For the background, I stamped Wonky Stripes and heat embossed it in white. I blended on some Versamark ink to add a bit of shading to some of the grey lines.

I popped up the flower panel with some foam adhesive and added a few white Nuvo Drops and a bit of shine from the Wink of Stell a clear to finish the look.
