Hello friends! This is Sandhya and today I am sharing a fall card with Copic-colored pumpkins. This month’s Uniquely Unity kit – Season of Inspiration has some really beautiful pumkins! I don’t know what it is about pumpkins and fall, but I do love coloring pumpkins. What about you?
How to : Fall Card with Copic-Colored Pumpkins
I started by stamping all the images from the stamp set on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. Then, I plucked a few shades of oranges and warm greys and colored the images.
I went over the leaves and swirls with a green marker and added some highlights using a white gel pen. Next, I cut out all the colored images using my Brother Scan and Cut machine. I arranged them over a smaller piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment onto it.
Finally, I ink blended with Carved Pumpking Distress Oxide over a white card base to create an ombre background. For the smoothest ombre blend, I highly recommend using smooth cardstock like Neenah 80lb or Bristol Smooth. Additionally, I recently started using the Altenew blending tool for larger background blends and it has been a total game-changer for me. I used copious amounts of foam tape to adhere my arrangement to the card base. Then, I finished off with a few clear drops embellishments.
