Hello friends! Sandhya here and today I am celebrating my birthday by sharing this watercolored floral cake card with you. So I colored up the gorgeous new floral cake stamp called Let Them Eat Cake {Slimline} illustrated by the super talented Ann Corbiere-Scott.
Floral Cake Card
This card came together so quickly because of the big-sized image and I didn’t have to think too much. I started by stamping the slimline cake image and sentiment on a piece of Strathmore hot pressed watercolor paper. Next, I watercolored it with Altenew Watercolor brush markers. Although we are quickly heading towards fall, I went with a bright spring-summer palette.
Once I was done coloring, I cut out the image using my Brother Scan n Cut machine. Next, I used a slimline stencil and Salvaged Patina distress oxide to ink blend directly on a slimline card base.
Finally, I adhered the colored image to the card base using foam tape. That’s all! My birthday cake card is ready!
