Hello friends! This is Sandhya bringing you a mix-media card with heat embossing. I was totally in the mood to mess around with some inks and create a rich, colorful and textured background. The stamps I am using today are Remember to Breath, June Rose, and 3D Cube Background stamp.
The Process – Mix Media Card With Heat Embossing
First, I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly using white embossing powder on vellum. I added color to the back of the vellum butterfly and fussy cut it out. Next, I heat embossed the 3D cube background on bristol smooth cardstock using silver embossing powder. I also die cut the hello sentiment and set it aside.
Then, I did some ink smooshing by pressing my Distress Ink pads in my glass mat and spritzing it with water. I pressed my heat embossed background over it and make my messy background. Next, I added more distress inks to get a more intense color and then added splatters too.
I die-cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die and added the die-cut sentiment. Finally, I popped up the vellum butterfly and added some pearls to finish the card. I did record the video, and will hopefully be able to share it soon.
