Hello friends! This is Sandhya bringing you a watercolor slimline card featuring the Slimline Feather stamp. The sentiment I used is from In My Thoughts, Girl *May 2021 Sentiment Kit. August is my Birthday month, so I will be sharing birthday cards all month long in my blog posts.
Watercolor Slimline Card
First, I stamped the image using Versafine Claire Nocturne ink on cold-pressed watercolor paper. Then, I heat embossed over it using clear embossing powder. Finally, I spent my afternoon relaxing and coloring this ginormous feather stamp using my favorite Daniel Smith watercolors.
Once I was done coloring, I added generous splatters using leftover paints on my pallette and some white gouache. Next, I stamped the sentiment on scrap paper and distressed along the edges using my scissors. I also picked up some paint with my finger and rubbed it along the distressed edges to add some color.
I die-cut the panel using a slimline die and matted it with dark blue cardstock before adhering to a slimline card base. Then, I popped up the sentiment with foam tape. To finish off, I added some shiny domed embellishments to my card.
