Hi Crafty Friends! I am super excited to be back with you today! I can’t believe we are at the end of September! Where has time gone? Today I am sharing a card using the September Whit-Kit Card kit! I fell in love with this kit and and all the beautiful contents!
Thank you for joining me these past 3 months. I have had a lot of fun and I have truly loved creating with you using my Unity stamps! I have loved seeing your posts and cards, they are truly fun and beautiful! Next week we will get ready for a new challenge and I can’t wait to see what’s next! Be sure to keep sharing with us over on the Unity {show & tell} facebook group page. So let’s get started!
I started by stamping the floral image from the stamp set included in the kit – Forever in my Garden. I stamped the image using alcohol marker safe ink (Momento) onto my card stock. I wanted to color this gorgeous image using my alcohol markers. I worked in layers of color from darkest to lightest. I find coloring this way is easiest for me when using alcohol markers. I added some colored pencils into the nooks and crannies of the leaves, glass jar, as well as the sunflower for added dimension.
Once my coloring was complete I die cut the floral image using the die included in the kit! I love this! I set this aside to work on my card panel background. I used pattern paper included in this months kit – Fields of Summer. This paper is truly STUNNING and I have been inspired by all the gorgeous cards using this paper pack! I chose 2 coordinating pieces. I trimmed the panel using a rectangle die and adhered this to a kraft panel of card stock. Next I die cut 2 nested circles using a coordinating pattern paper and adhered this to my A2 card panel.
To complete the card I adhered the floral image using foam tape on top of my pattern paper panel. I then chose the scripty hello sentiment from the Roses and Lemons stamp set. I stamped this directly to my pattern paper.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! I love this kit and the fall feel of everything included! It truly is gorgeous!
Thank you again for joining me these last 3 months! I have had a lot of fun with you and our amazing Unity Stamps!
Crafty Hugs,
Natasha
