Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
It was one of those weeks (busy time of year anyone else?!?) – so I don’t have a video to share today, just this cute and simple one layer card!
This adorable image was so perfect and fun for a truly one layer card – I often come close, but it rare that I keep it completely down to one layer like this!
The image and sentiment are stamped directly on my white top folding card base – using Copic friendly ink of course! I then colored the image in, using the following colors: R08, R59, YG95, YG99, E37, E59, E50, E51, E31, W3, W5, and W7.
I rounded the upper left corner of the cardbase, just to add a touch of interest to the shape of the card, and then added some Antique Linen distress ink blended around all the edges of the card. This softens the white edges, and forms a sort of vignette around the image.
Finished off with some white paint splatters for some texture and interest – I think it looks a bit like snow falling on the late fall branch, right before that sweet squirrel hides away for the winter!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
