Hi Crafty friends! It is Natasha and I am super excited to be back with you today sharing a fall inspired card using the beautiful new flower stamp set of this month – September Aster! Thank you for sharing your fall themed cards and for sharing them with us on the Unity {show & tell} Facebook group page and add them to our Fall themed album! Keep sharing your beautiful cards! So let’s get started!
I started by stamping the beautiful new monthly floral onto Fabriano Hot Press paper. Once it was stamped, I taped the paper down onto a hard board to prevent warping. I then used my Karin markers to watercolor this gorgeous floral! I worked in layers allowing each layer to dry in between. Once my image was colored I trimmed the floral using my scan and cut. I then set this aside to work on my background.
I created the background using an embossing folder. I placed a piece of kraft card stock into my folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I then added white pigment ink to the raised sections of the background. This folder is a 3D folder and I find this works best for adding the pigment ink. I set this aside to dry.
Once the background was dry, I adhered the embossed panel to a brown card base. I then used foam tape to adhere the large floral and the sentiment.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I love this month’s floral! It is a dream to color! I can’t wait to see your beautiful cards and be sure to share them with us over on the Unity {show & tell} Facebook group page! Have a great week and I will see you next week with some more fall inspiration! I am working on a card using this month’s Whit kit!
Crafty Hugs,
Natasha
