Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
I’ve decided to take a little break from videos – just feeling a bit burnt out, and wanting to simplify my creative time a bit. Sometimes you just need to be able to relax and create – so that is what I am going to do. 🙂
This past week I spent a blissful evening in the mountains – my photographer friend was doing family photos, and my youngest daughter’s senior photos (eek!). It was such a beautiful place, and totally a soul-filling evening being in God’s Creation! So as I was looking at this month’s kit, I knew exactly which image I wanted to feature for today’s card!
I stamped that gorgeous image on watercolor paper to begin. I decided what size circle I was going to die cut it into, then took the next largest circle and used it to trace a light pencil line around the image. I used this as my guide to what area’s to add color to. Once I finished watercoloring, I let it dry a bit, then die cut the image.
At that point, it was easy to stamp my sentiment on a white cardbase, then pop that circle up with foam adhesive on my card base. I am so in love with this card – I kind of want to keep it! The image and sentiment so perfectly captured a beautiful moment in my last week – don’t you love when that happens?!?
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
