Hello crafty friends! Sandhya here and today I am creating a shabby chic mix-media card using some oldie but goodie Unity stamps. This set is a past Layers of Life Kit called Tiny Moments. Once again I am breaking away from my comfort zone and I hope it inspires you to try something new too!
For this card, I stamped the floral image from the stamp set 2 times on some white tissue paper. I used Ranger Archival ink for stamping as I wanted to go over it with inks and other media like gesso.
I then had fun building some layers on a piece of watercolor paper. I first sprayed it with some Distress Oxide spray – Spun Sugar. Then, I used gesso to adhere down the first piece of tissue with the stamped image. I added some washi tape around the floral image. I also added some white acrylic paint using a pallette knife.
I added a die-cut frame that I distressed with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide. I felt that my stamped image had faded too much under the gesso and so I added the 2nd piece of stamped tissue paper within the frame. I added the stamped sentiment and some crinkle ribbon to finish the card.
