One-Layer Card with Repeat Stamping

November 30, 2021 - by Sandhya Iyer

One-Layer Card with Repeat Stamping

Hello crafty friends! This is Sandhya and I am back with a quick and easy one-layer card with repeat stamping. For this card, I am using the Winter Wonderland Walk stamp set. Be sure to check out this stamp set and all the other amazing collection of red rubber stamps at Unity as we head into the last few days of the biggest sales of the year!

My simple and easy card design, is inspired by Whitney’s Facebook Live session on the Unity Channel. If you missed the lives this month, be sure to check out the replays on the Unity Youtube Channel. I started with a white card base made of Neenah Solar White 110lb Cover stock. This thick cardstock is great for stamping, ink blending and my favorite for on-layer cards. I ink blended directly on the card front using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink.

Next, I grabbed two green inks from my stash and the cute trees from the Winter Wonderland Walk stamp set and stamped it around the card front. Each time I inked up the stamp, I stamped down with it 3 times. I was able to get 3 gradient colors from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation stamping. Another tip here is to keep varying the position of the trees such that they are not stamped evenly. The varying heights and ink gradients add a lot of interest to this simple design.

Finally, I used the same dark green ink to stamp the sentiment in the center and finished off with some white paint splatters.

Thank You
