Hello crafty friends! This is Sandhya and I am sharing how I created some quick holiday cards with Distress backgrounds. Before we get into the card details, I just wanted to remind you about the awesome Black-Friday deals with 55% off sitewide at Unity!
I started by creating two Distress backgrounds using Distress Spray Stains (Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire / Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness) and Distress Mica Stain (Frosted Juniper / Bubbling Cauldron) and smooshed the panel down on my media mat till I was happy with my background.
Next, I took the blue background and stamped and heat embossed over it using the Blanket of Snow background stamp and Alabaster Sparkle embossing powder. Next, I stamped the same snowflake background on a white A2 card base with light blue ink.
I stamped and heat embossed the word Joy from the Heart of Christmas stamp set in white over midnight blue cardstock. Then I die cut it and popped it on the panel. I matted the inky panel with the same blue cardstock and assembled the card.
Moving on to my next card, I stamped it with Search For those Moments (LOL) set. I splattered it with some white paint. Next, I die cut a mat for the panel out of cream cardstock and distresses it with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I used the same combo on a white heat embossed joy sentiment. Next, I assembled the card on a kraft card base. I further distressed the card base with some Frayed burlap Distress Ink.
Thank You
