Hello crafty friends! Sandhya here, bringing you some fun inking techniques for holiday cards or any cards. I mixed up some older stamps with a new stamp from Unity to come up with my card designs. Both cards are just color variations of the same technique.
First, I trimmed two pieces of textured watercolor paper for my card panels. Then, I spritzed them with water and went on to spray some Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays to create ink smooshed backgrounds. I further distressed the panles using distress inks.
I recently purchased a huge roll of rayon seam binding ribbon and broke it out today. For coloring the plain white ribbon I simply crumpled up a piece of the ribbon and wiped up the leftover colors on my mat after making my panels. Then, I left it to air dry and proceeded with the stamping part.
I stamped the evergreen branch from the Winter Blessings stamp set and the sentiment from the Holiday. Faith. Hope. Love. {october 2021 sentiment kit}. In addition to that, I also added the Worn Music background stamp to the first panel. Then I covered the sentiment with a post-it note and added white splatters. When the panels were dry, I added bows using the crinkled ribbon pieces I had created earlier.
Finally, I added light inking to white A2 card bases in coordinating colors. For the first card, I also added an additional tone on tone stamping. I adhered the panels to the card bases to finish the cards.
Thank You
