Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
Today I have a soft and simple pink and gray wintry card to share with you!
I loved this sweet image from this month’s kit – doesn’t it just make you want to go stand in the snow and see how much you can catch?!? While I love creating winter and snow theme cards in the typical blue and aqua tones, there is something so pretty about pink and gray that just seemed like the perfect match.
I die cut my stamped image with an oval die, then trimmed the bottom off for a bit of interest and different shape. I then layered some pattern paper on the background, added the image with foam adhesive and added the sentiment – hand trimmed into a banner shape – with a double layer of foam adhesive over the bottom of the oval.
Some selected portions of the image were colored with just one Copic marker to coordinate, and then I added some sparkles (because that sentiment just called for some!) with some Nuvo Glitter drops on a few spots on the image. This added some great texture and of course, sparkle!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
