Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
Today’s card is a super simple and sweet Easter card!
I started off by creating an ink blended background. To do this, I chose 4 colors of distress ink cubes and pulled out some watercolor paper. I started with the lightest shade of ink, and swiped it across my watercolor paper, a little ways from the top, a few times. I then moved onto my next color, and overlapped the first color slightly, and continued on with the next two colors. I then misted it with water and let the colors bleed and blend – giving an ombre effect!
While that dried, I grabbed a panel of vellum, and heat embossed my image and sentiment in gold on it. Such a magical combination – heat embossing on vellum is just so pretty!
I added a die cut frame cut from ivory glitter cardstock (hard to see in the photos, but a fun bit of sparkle in real life – I promise!)- wrapped some jute string around and tied in a bow, and finished off with a few different colors of sparkly jewels arranged in the bottom corner!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
