Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
For today’s card, I’m combining some stamping, coloring, and die cut elements!
I decided it had been a long time since I had used my colored pencils, so this would be a fun time to break them out again! I love colored pencils on kraft paper – especially when you use lighter colors, and it makes them pop out so well. I chose cream and yellow tones, and a bit of brown for the accents.
I die cut the panel with a rectangle die, and another panel with a diagonal stitched rectangle slightly larger, and layered them together, purposely adding a slightly offset angle to the top layer.
I wanted to add some fun floral elements to the card, so I used some coordinating cream and yellow cardstock to die cut out some floral and leaf elements. These are actually the free dies that were included in my pretty teal Spellbinders Platinum 6 that I recently purchased – but any flower dies would work and be fun to use for this!
Finished touch was some sparkly jewels sprinkled around the card, and then adhering the entire thing to a cream cardbase. Love all the soft neutrals together on this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
