Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
Today’s card combines a bit of a unique color combo, as well as a study in the design element of using things in threes!
I started off by stamping the beautiful floral border in the February 2022 KOM, and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. Here is where the first 3 comes in – I used 3 different shades of green ink to blend over the image, allowing the embossing to resist the ink, and reveal the white underneath. I also used greens – which might not be the first color you would think of with florals – and I love it!
Next, I picked a cute and tiny sentiment from the kit, and stamped it…you guessed it – 3 times! Since it was so simple, the repetition helps make more of a statement with that sentiment – and the 3 times stamped is pleasing to the eyes as well!
I mounted that panel with foam adhesive on a white cardbase…and then added my final group of 3. And don’t laugh – this was an afterthought, because I suddenly remembered that today was Valentine’s Day – and I should have added a heart somewhere on my card! So this little trio of heart gems were the perfect finishing touch! Adding them under the sentiment was a perfect place to tuck them, and of course, adding them in a group of 3 helps complete the visual grouping of threes on this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
