Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
One of my favorite thing to do on cards is layer up pretty pattern papers for texture and dimension – and this sweet butterfly image from this month’s kit was perfect to go along with that!
I started off by die cutting a circle with the butterfly image on it, and then die cutting the sentiment with a frame die, layering a larger size with some pattern paper to create a mat around it.
Next, I chose some coordinating pattern paper to layer up, and trimmed them down to different sizes. I layered them directly on a white cardbase, using an adhesive runner in the center, which allowed me to curl up the edges slightly for that fun dimension.
Then, I added the circle with the butterfly branch, and added the sentiment with foam adhesive (the only part that I used foam adhesive on). I used a yellow Copic marker to color just the flowers on the branch, and the heart on the sentiment to perfectly coordinate with the yellow pattern paper. Finally, I added a few fun enamel dots for texture and shine!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
