Hi, this is Sandhya. Pushing through the hard times with a purpose and finding ways to help. In today’s post I don’t have much of a process as it is a simple Copic-colored card. But I am also sharing an art journal page I created in my new mini journal. I hope this inspires you to stay creative even if your mind is in a muddle. Oh and I also will share about today’s new release at Unity which includes 4 stamp sets illustrated by me (Sunflower bouquet, Pooh and Eeyore sets).
Main Supplies
- Stamp – Peace (releasing today in red rubber and Digital stamp formats)
- Copic Markers
- Pattern paper
I used the digital version of the stamp to create this card panel with the flowers arranged in the corners and filled in the remaining area with black. Then I used Copic Markers to color in the flowers and matted the panel with pattern paper from my stash. I added the sentiment and some jewels to finish off the card.
Thanks to Angela and her generous heart, this sunflower stamp will be a digital stamp in the Unity shop and 100% proceeds from the sales of this set will be donated to the welfare of Ukraine. In addition to that, 5% of the total sales for the week at Unity will be donated for Ukraine. So stay tuned for the new release and sale to go live later today at Unity Stamp Co.
The rubber version of the Peace stamp set (sunflower bouquet) is huge and almost covers the entire A2 card panel. I cut it up to adorn the mini art journal page I created just for therapy. I am kind of new to art journalling but found that it helps me calm down and create when I am very stressed. For this page, I simply created multiple layers with white gesso, tissue paper, stamping, stenciling with crackle paste, Lindy’s sprays for color, and so on. I even added some cheesecloth for texture. Then, I stamped over the florals with the Small Details background stamp and added it to the background. I had to add black and white splatters to finish off.
Thank You
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will add the supply list as soon as the sale goes live at Unity. So be sure to check back in later today. Thanks again for your support, have a wonderful day!
