Fun with Playful Daisy | Unity Birthday Release

May 17, 2022 - by Sandhya Iyer

Fun with Playful Daisy | Unity Birthday Release

In continuation of Unity Stamp Company’s 14th Birthday celebration, we have a second fantastic release! I designed the Playful Daisy stamp for this release and had so much fun making a set of cards for my Unity Blog post. I explored different ways of stamping the solid filler stamps and went from traditional dye inks to water-based markers.

Playful Daisy Cards

The first card is the Playful Daisy stamped in Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. I used 2 shades of similar colors to create the gradient effect and framed it using the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.
The second and third cards are the Playful Daisy stamped with Karin Markers + a spritz of water. I did capture the process in a video and will share it soon! Once again I used the smaller scalloped rectangle from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} set to cut my stamped image. For the background, I heat embossed the Love & Wisdom background stamp in white.
Ok, so for this one I used the Make A Tag {die set} and used Splatter It stamp for my background.
Finally, I tried much brighter colors using my Tombow Dual Brush markers. To complement the bright tones of these markers, I created a matching alcohol ink background with a touch of foiling.
